Welcome to Room 16

Welcome Back to School!

Welcome to the 2017 school year. I hope everyone has had a great summer break that was fun and relaxing.  We have an exciting year ahead of us! I believe learning should be fun and engaging. Throughout the year you will be completing units, projects, and class activities on traditional subject matter. However, you can expect to learn through educational games, cooperative learning activities, hands-on assignments, self-directed learning, and reflective journals. With your best behaviour, our classroom will be a fun and stimulating environment where you will become a successful student.

About Me – Mrs Louise Sublet

This is my fifth year teaching at Heathridge Primary School and my fourth year teaching the senior students. Before taking on the role as the year 5/6 teacher I had the joy of being the Year 1/2 classroom teacher (with many of those students now commencing Year 5 and Year 6). I look forward to working with your children as the Senior Class of Heathridge.

I am a graduate of Edith Cowan University. In 2012 I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Kindergarten to Year 7). I absolutely love teaching and could not see myself doing anything else. I feel very blessed to be employed here at Heathridge Primary School as I know I have the backup and support of a team of experienced and dedicated staff to assist me in providing your child with the best possible education.

Last year, I had an amazing year with my students. It was fantastic to watch them grow in knowledge. I look forward to working with those students again as Year 6’s and also with the new students in Year 5. I promise to work hard to give your child the quality education that he or she is entitled to.

Education Assistant

I will be assisted this year by Special Needs education Assistant Mrs Fiona Guile. Mrs Guile is a very experienced and dedicated EA and she has a wonderful rapport with the students.
